An Empirical Investigation into the Digital Integration that Transformed the Health Care Industry at Discovery

Abstract

This research study assessed the degree to which the digital integration at Discovery Limited impacted their health care sector. The research particularly focused on the correlation of these two factors within the health care sector.

Currently there is very little literature on the relationship between digital integration and the health care sector. As digital technologies continue to grow, the gap in literature should be address. If there is a positive relationship and correlation determined it could change the way the health care sector operates.

This study will assist in filling this gap by determining the relationship on a small scale within one organisation.

In conclusion, by understanding and gaining insights into the digital integration in the health care sector, and importance for more digital integration and innovation can be placed onto the health care sector in South Africa. Discovery Limited can also leverage this relationship to build their brand and customer base.
