Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the possible comorbid relationship between binge-eating disorder and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder through the moderating variables of impulse control and self-regulation. 55 participants diagnosed with ADHD responded to a self-report survey, from which it was noted that individuals with ADHD; struggle with controlling food-related impulses, are unable to self-regulate especially in times of heightened emotionality, and frequently present with symptoms in line with the diagnosis of binge-eating disorder.
